If you've ever watched an instructor juggle three different apps just to post an assignment, grade it, and let the school know their student submitted late — you already understand why we built NimbusLearn.
Schools today don't lack technology. They lack technology that works together. One app for attendance, another for grades, a WhatsApp group for communication, a shared Google Drive for assignments, and maybe a dusty LMS that nobody actually uses because it was designed for universities, not a fifth-grade classroom.
We built NimbusLearn to fix that.
The Problem We Kept Seeing
Before starting NimbusLearn, we spent months talking to instructors and school administrators across the Middle East and beyond. The same frustrations came up again and again:
- "The LMS we have is too complicated." Most learning management systems were designed for universities. They're packed with features that K-12 schools never use, buried behind confusing menus. Instructors spend more time figuring out the software than actually teaching.
- "We can't afford the good ones." Enterprise LMS platforms charge per-user licensing fees that can easily run into thousands of dollars per year. For a school with 30 instructors and 500 students, the math doesn't work — especially for private schools operating on tight margins.
- "Nothing talks to each other." Attendance is tracked in one system, grades in another, communication through a third. There's no single place where an instructor, student, or admin can see the full picture.
We interviewed over 40 schools before writing a single line of code. The message was clear: schools don't need more features — they need the right features, designed simply, at a price they can actually afford.
What NimbusLearn Actually Is
NimbusLearn is an all-in-one learning management system built specifically for K-12 schools. It covers everything a school needs in a single platform: courses, assignments, quizzes, gradebook, attendance, messaging, and a mobile app for students.
No modules to bolt on. No feature gates. No "contact sales for pricing." Every school that uses NimbusLearn gets the full platform.
What Makes It Different
Built for K-12, Not Retrofitted
NimbusLearn wasn't designed as a university platform that was later "simplified" for schools. Every screen, every workflow, every feature was designed from the ground up with K-12 instructors and students in mind. The gradebook works the way school gradebooks actually work — with terms, grading scales, and automatic calculations. Attendance is built in, not bolted on. Multi-tenancy means each school gets its own isolated environment from day one.
Pricing That Makes Sense
NimbusLearn costs $15 per student per year. That's it. A school with 300 students pays $4,500 for the entire year — full platform, unlimited instructors, mobile apps included. Compare that to per-user licensing models where you'd pay $50-100+ per instructor per month, and the difference is stark.
We price per student because that's how schools think about their budgets. And we keep it low because we believe every school — not just wealthy international schools — deserves modern tools.
English and Arabic, Out of the Box
NimbusLearn ships with full English and Arabic support, including right-to-left (RTL) layout. This isn't a translation layer slapped on top — the entire interface adapts. For schools in the Middle East and North Africa, this means instructors and students can use the platform in the language they're most comfortable with.
Web + Mobile, Fully Synced
Students get native mobile apps on iOS and Android. Instructors can manage their classes from the web dashboard or check in from their phone. Everything syncs in real time — a grade entered on the web shows up instantly on a student's phone notification.
A Quick Tour
Here's what you get when your school starts using NimbusLearn:
Courses & Content
Create courses organized by term. Add lessons, upload materials, post assignments, and build quizzes — all in one place. Students see a clean timeline of what's due and what's been posted. No digging through folders.
Gradebook
A proper gradebook with term-based grading, configurable grading scales, and automatic grade calculation. Instructors enter grades; students see them instantly. Export to CSV whenever you need a paper trail. Admins can approve final grades before promotion.
Attendance
Take attendance in seconds — cycle through Present, Late, Absent, or Excused for each student, then click Save All. Attendance records are stored permanently and can factor into the final grade. Export attendance data to CSV anytime.
SpeedGrader
Our favorite feature to demo. SpeedGrader lets instructors open a submission, read it, annotate PDFs, assign a grade, and move to the next student — all without leaving the page. Instructors who used to spend an entire evening grading 30 essays now finish in half the time.
Messaging
Built-in messaging means instructors can communicate with students without leaving the platform. No more switching to email or creating WhatsApp groups. Conversations are threaded, searchable, and support file attachments.
Mobile App
A native mobile app on iOS and Android for students. View courses, check grades, submit assignments, receive push notifications — all from their phone. Offline mode lets students download materials and work without an internet connection. Full Arabic/RTL support included.
Optional Add-Ons
In addition to the core platform, NimbusLearn offers optional add-ons for schools that need them:
- AI-Powered Features: AI-assisted grading suggestions and AI question generation — instructors get AI-generated grade suggestions that they can review and accept, and can generate quiz questions from a topic. Available as an optional add-on.
- Zoom Integration: Virtual classroom sessions linked directly to course sections. Add a Zoom link to any section, and students get the link right in their course alongside their other materials. Available as an optional add-on.
Have a feature you'd love to see? We're building NimbusLearn in close collaboration with the schools that use it. Reach out to us at support@nimbuslearnapp.com — we read every message.
Try It Yourself
NimbusLearn is available now. You can start a free trial with your school — no credit card required, no time-limited demo. Set up your classes, invite your instructors, and see how it feels to have everything in one place.
We built NimbusLearn because we believe schools deserve better tools — tools that are simple enough for any instructor to use, comprehensive enough to replace the patchwork of apps they're juggling today, and affordable enough that cost is never the reason a school says no.
We'd love for you to give it a try.
